We own and manage residential, commercial, industrial properties throughout Ohio. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Residential Electrician to join our full-time renovations team. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys solving electrical problems, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where every day presents new challenges. Position Overview: As a Residential Electrician, your primary responsibility will be completing electrical work associated with apartment renovations and unit turns both occupied & unoccupied. While electrical work will be your primary trade, this is a hands-on renovation position, and you'll be expected to assist with general renovation tasks as needed including demolition of apartments to prep for renovations Every project is different, and you'll have the opportunity to work on complete apartment remodels, occupied-unit repairs, common area improvements, and property upgrades.
Primary Responsibilities: Your day-to-day responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Electrical Work
  • Replace 110V and 120V receptacles and switches
  • Install and troubleshoot single-pole, three-way, and four-way switches
  • Replace and install interior and exterior light fixtures
  • Wire and replace electric water heaters
  • Install and replace breakers ranging from 15 to 50 amps
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot residential electrical issues
  • Install and troubleshoot thermostat wiring
  • Wire built-in appliances including ovens, cooktops, microwaves, dishwashers, and range hoods
  • Add, relocate, and remove branch circuits
  • Replace electrical devices, GFCIs, AFCIs, and breakers
  • Perform panel labeling and minor panel repairs
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC and local electrical codes
  • Apartment Renovation Work
  • Electrical work is only one part of apartment renovations. Team members are expected to assist with additional renovation tasks, including:
  • Demolition and material removal
  • Unit turns
  • General punch-list items
  • Property improvement projects
  • Overtime will be required to meet renovation deadlines
  • ScheduleMonday through Friday
  • Typical hours: 7:30AM - 4:30PM30-minute unpaid lunch
  • Occasional mandatory Saturdays based on project schedules
  • Overtime may be required to meet renovation deadlines
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of electrical experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams
  • Knowledge of current NEC standards
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed
Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to:
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Climb ladders up to 20 feet
  • Work in occupied and vacant apartments
  • Work in crawl spaces, attics, and utility rooms when necessary
  • Safely operate power tools and electrical testing equipment
TravelYou may travel up to approximately 60 miles one way from Piqua, Ohio between job sites using a company vehicle. Required High school diploma or equivalent Minimum three years of electrical experience Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check Ability to pass an occupational health screening
Preferred:
  • Experience in apartment renovations or property maintenance
  • Experience working on occupied multifamily properties
