Job Description:
Southeastern Communications (SEC) is looking for reliable, hard-working Cable Installation Technicians for residential cable, internet, and telecommunications work in MYRTLE BEACH, SC. We’re looking for people who are comfortable working in the field, working with their hands, troubleshooting problems, and getting the job done right. Cable or telecom experience is preferred, but we’re also interested in candidates with installation, construction, low-voltage, or other hands-on field experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Install and service residential cable and internet
- Run and secure coax and other required cabling
- Install and activate customer equipment
- Test signal levels and troubleshoot service issues
- Complete assigned work orders efficiently and correctly
- Work directly with customers in their homes
- Follow Spectrum, company, and job-site safety standards
- Communicate with supervisors and field support when needed
What We're Looking For:
- Valid driver’s license
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Must be able to pass a background check with no felony convictions
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Cable or telecommunications experience preferred
- Spectrum/Charter experience is a plus
- Pickup truck preferred, but not required
- Comfortable using tools and working in different indoor and outdoor conditions
- Able to work independently and stay on top of assigned jobs
- Reliable, professional, and ready to work
