Firearms Associate

Responsibilities include: Greeting customers with a warm and friendly demeanor. Engaging customers to understand their specific needs. Providing expert guidance and unbiased product recommendations. Ensuring compliance with all firearms laws and regulations. Assisting customers in selecting appropriate ammunition and accessories. Maintaining an organized and appealing firearms display area. Processing transactions accurately. Staying updated on current firearm trends. Addressing customer concerns promptly. Establishing long-term relationships with customers. Demonstrating product features and benefits. Utilizing upselling and cross-selling techniques. Promoting exclusive offers and store loyalty programs. Contributing to visual merchandising efforts. Participating in cross-training and learning initiatives. Demonstrating behaviors that exemplify Rural King's values. Essential qualities for success include: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in firearms sales or a related field. Knowledge of firearms laws and regulations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in using computer systems for transaction processing. Commitment to maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment.

Physical requirements include: Ability to stand for prolonged periods. Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 30 pounds repetitively and 31-50 pounds intermittently. Effective verbal communication skills. Close visual awareness. Ability to use a ladder and/or pallet jack.
