Data Center Technician

Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and repair enterprise server and networking hardware Perform hardware break/fix including RAM, CPUs, NICs, SSDs/HDDs, power supplies, fans, and other server components Rack, stack, cable, install, and decommission servers and network devices Run, label, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling Execute hardware upgrades, moves, additions, and changes within a live production environment Support large-scale server deployment and infrastructure expansion projects Utilize ticketing systems to document work and track incidents Conduct preventative maintenance and operational health checks Follow established safety, security, and operational procedures

Qualifications: Data Center Technician II 1+ year of data center, hardware, IT support, or network infrastructure experience Familiarity with servers, cabling, hardware upgrades, or troubleshooting Experience working with hand tools and basic testing equipment Data Center Technician III 3+ years of data center experience Strong server break/fix and deployment experience Experience troubleshooting fiber and network connectivity issues Ability to work independently and resolve complex hardware issues Data Center Technician IV 5+ years of enterprise data center experience Advanced troubleshooting and data center operational knowledge Experience leading projects, coordinating deployments, or mentoring technicians preferred Strong understanding of server hardware and infrastructure best practices Preferred Skills Data Center Operations Server Deployment & Migration Rack & Stack Hardware Break/Fix Fiber Optic Cabling Structured Cabling Copper Cabling Network Troubleshooting Linux or Windows Server Experience Service Now or Similar Ticketing Platforms Enterprise Hardware Support Preferred Certifications CompTIA A+ Network+ Security+ CCNA Fiber Optic Certifications Other Infrastructure or Data Center Certifications Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds Work on ladders and within data center rack environments Stand, walk, and move throughout large data center facilities for extended periods Why Join Us? Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $55.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
