Job Description:
Job Description This is a 2nd shift job opening 4 days a week. Our Grand Rapids, MI machine shop is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Setup/Operator to join our team. We operate Doosan CNC mills and CNC lathes, utilizing MasterCAM for programming. Our shop specializes in prototypes to low-volume production, where every job is unique, requiring adaptability in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quick turnaround and high-quality output. Materials machined include plastic, aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC mills (Doosan) to produce precision parts. Work from blueprints, CAD models, or verbal instructions to complete jobs from start to finish. Ensure quality control and adherence to tight tolerances. Collaborate in a dynamic environment to meet fast-paced production schedules.
Requirements:
Experienced Candidates: Proven experience in CNC mill setup/operation; familiarity with Doosan mills and MasterCAM is a plus. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage jobs independently from setup to completion. Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to producing high-quality parts. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment.
Job Type: Full-time, Pay is based on experience.
