About the role

Credit & Collections AssistantK&R Staffing is hiring a Credit & Collections Assistant for a full-time opportunity. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable working with customers, and confident handling payments, account information, and administrative tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in customer service, accounts receivable, billing, collections, bookkeeping, or office administration who is looking to grow their accounting and credit experience.
What You'll Do:
  • Assist customers with questions regarding billing, payments, statements, and account balances
  • Process customer payments and credit card transactions
  • Set up new customer accounts and maintain existing account information
  • Follow up on past-due balances and assist with collection efforts
  • Research credit and trade references for new and existing customers
  • Assist with credit reviews and account documentation
  • Prepare invoices, correspondence, reports, and other documents
  • Follow up on customer orders and payment requirements
  • Maintain accurate and confidential customer records
  • Communicate professionally with customers and internal departments
  • Provide administrative support to the Credit Department
Requirements:
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable speaking with customers by phone and email
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Comfortable working with numbers, payments, and customer accounts
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Previous experience in accounts receivable, collections, billing, credit, bookkeeping, customer service, or office administration is a plus
