About the role

Company Description: Emerging Technologies Institute (ETI) is a privately owned, post-secondary education institution founded in 1999. ETI is licensed by the New York State Education Department and nationally accredited by the Middle States Association. We are located in Mineola, New York - easily accessible via bus or Long Island Rail Road, with plenty of parking. We are accepting applications for a part-time teaching position starting November 2026. In this role, you will instruct adult students pursuing their CompTIA A+, Network+, Linux+, Security+, and/or Cloud+ certifications. Class Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM ET (20 hours/week) for 12 weeks. Potential for additional program assignments

Responsibilities:

Deliver in-person instruction during scheduled class times at the Mineola location
Guide students through the core concepts, practical applications, and exam preparation for CompTIA certifications
Foster an engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and questions
Assess student comprehension and provide feedback and support
Maintain accurate attendance and grading records

Experience/Qualifications Active NYSED BPSS (Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision) license Certifications in CompTIA A+, Network+, Linux+, Security+ and/or Cloud+Minimum 2 years of experience teaching technical certifications to adult learners SkillsSetting up, troubleshooting, and guiding hands-on labs Expertise in adult learning principles and instructional practices Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, accessible manner Interactive teaching strategies
