Lead Solutions Engineer - AI Technology

Overview In this role you will drive the design and delivery of complex data pipelines and AI/ML systems within World Quant’s technology organization. You will lead technical objectives, mentor peers, and influence architectural decisions while staying hands-on. You will collaborate across teams to enable scalable, maintainable software that supports the firm’s cutting-edge scientific investing platform. Responsibilities Manage technical objectives and provide technical leadership Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews Drive architectural decisions and ensure scalable, maintainable data pipelines Contribute hands-on development on data pipelines and AI/ML systems Collaborate across teams with researchers and portfolio managers Design and implement software solutions with strong architecture principles Key requirements Master's or higher in a technical field 7+ years of Python development experience with data engineering and AI/ML systems Expert Python knowledge; experience with Pandas, Num Py, PySpark Proven ability to design scalable data pipelines Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)Proficiency with Git, CI/CD, and agile methodologies Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts to diverse stakeholders Finance industry experience is a plus; experience with PyTorch/scikit-learn and LLMs is a plusstrong communicationmentoring and coachingability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences Python Pandas Num Py
