JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Overview: Security Engineers is seeking dedicated Unarmed Security Officersto help maintain safe and secure environments for our clients. Officers play a vital role in deterring incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access points, verifying identification, responding to alarms/emergencies, and maintaining detailed logs. This role requires professionalism, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old Must have or be able to obtain an ASRB license in the state of Alabama Must have a TWIC Card 1+ Years of Security, Military, Corrections and/or Law Enforcement experience

Duties & Responsibilities: Patrol & Surveillance Conduct walking patrols to identify and report safety concerns Monitor access points; verify IDs and credentials Monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activity Incident Response & Reporting Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol Maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents Perform routine security tasks (e.g., locking/unlocking doors)Customer Service & Policy Enforcement Assist visitors and employees professionally Enforce site-specific Post Orders and security protocols Ensure compliance with SEI and client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking)

Required Skills & Abilities: Minimum Ability to perform in fast-paced, high‑pressure environments Weekend availability Strong situational awareness and problem‑solving skills Ability to remain calm and effective in critical situations Basic computer skills; ability to use tablets for reporting Preferred Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite Physical Requirements With or Without reasonable accommodation (subject to change based on client‑specific needs)Stand/sit for at least 1 hour without break Walk a minimum of ½ mile without stopping Climb at least 20 commercial facility stairs without stopping

Education & Experience: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred 2+ years of verifiable customer service experience 1+ Years of Security, Military, Corrections and/or Law Enforcement experience
