The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical architecture of the data platform, including its core infrastructure and consumer app architecture. This role demands a hands-on leader who has a proven track record in building and shipping data products that drive revenue. The CTO will also be tasked with establishing engineering standards, leading the engineering team, and ensuring the platform is secure, compliant, and ready for enterprise-grade commercial products. Applicants for the CTO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior technical leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern data stacks and a history of hiring and nurturing senior engineering talent. A strong background in data governance, security, and compliance, particularly in relation to SOC 2 and GDPR, is essential. The role requires a leader who is not only technically proficient but also adept at making product and commercial trade-offs. Experience in AI, mobile, and data products, as well as a genuine interest in Bitcoin, is highly valued.
