Data Engineer

Overview As a Data Engineer, you will design and optimize data pipelines and an enterprise data warehouse to enable reporting and strategic decision making. You will work closely with Analytics, Data Science, IT and Investment teams to deliver batch and real-time data solutions on AWS. This hands-on role emphasizes building scalable ETL/ELT processes, maintaining data quality, and contributing to cloud architecture and CI/CD practices. You will mentor junior analysts and help define long-term data automation strategies, while navigating legacy code and complex transformations. Responsibilities Grow and optimize the enterprise data warehouse to support reporting and decision making Help develop long-term data warehouse and automation strategies Gather requirements from end-users and data SMEs to design ETL/ELT processes Collaborate with peers to strengthen CI/CD pipelines in a large Git repository Mentor junior data analysts and review planned workflows Investigate and correct data inaccuracies between EDW and source results Establish data delivery expectations with internal and external points of contact Maintain backend processes for data optimization and retention policies Document ETL and data warehouse procedures and contribute to the knowledgebase Key requirements Bachelor in Computer Science or similar STEM field 3+ years building data pipelines with ETL tech stack and big data technologies 3+ years Python programming in Linux environments Experience deploying production cloud services in AWS (EC2, S3, Redshift)Ability to translate business requirements to technical designs Experience working in cross-functional teams across multiple units and geographies Advertising/media industry experience and basic media mathcross-functional collaborationproblem solvingtime management PythonSQLETL/ELT design
