Electrical Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities include: Lead and develop a team of electrical engineering professionals supporting a large portfolio of utility-scale generation assets. Establish engineering standards, processes, priorities, and review practices to ensure consistent, high-quality technical work across the fleet. Balance emergent operational issues with planned capital projects, maintenance initiatives, compliance requirements, and other engineering priorities. Provide senior technical oversight and guidance on electrical systems, generation equipment, controls, protection systems, and plant improvement projects. Develop the technical capabilities of the team through mentorship, cross-training, succession planning, and targeted professional development. Oversee engineering analyses, designs, specifications, and technical solutions related to the operation, maintenance, reliability, safety, and optimization of generating facilities. Work directly with plant managers, operations teams, contractors, equipment suppliers, and other technical stakeholders to develop functional and cost-effective solutions. Support major outages and maintenance activities, including planning, budgeting, procurement, equipment evaluations, and recommendations surrounding major plant equipment, protective schemes, and control systems. Lead and oversee Root Cause Analyses for significant generation incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively. Identify staffing, software, tooling, external engineering, and other resources required to scale the engineering organization and build the business case for those investments. Provide technical input into annual plant budgets and capital planning while helping identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and operating performance across the fleet. Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams on technical, operational, financial, and corporate initiatives.
