Associate Director of Network Engineering Location: Remote - (occasional on-site in New Haven, CT )Full time/ Direct Hire
Overview: Hands-on technical leadership role responsible for enterprise network design, operations, security, and optimization while leading a team of network engineers.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor the network engineering team. Design and support LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, VPNs, wireless, UCaaS/CCaaS.Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root-cause analysis. Manage network monitoring, performance, availability, and security. Lead hardware lifecycle upgrades and network-related projects. Support hybrid cloud networking across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud. Manage network architecture, documentation, diagrams, vendors, and support. Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cybersecurity teams.
Key Requirements: 10+ years network engineering experience, including 3–5 years leadership. Strong Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, Meraki, Arista experience. Routing/switching: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, QoS, VLANs, STP.Firewalls, VPNs, Zero Trust security. Azure networking: Express Route, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway, BGP, Virtual WAN, VNETs. Network automation, scripting, and monitoring tools such as Solar Winds/Logic Monitor. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and leadership skills. BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
