About the Role:
As a CNA at Avir at Corpus Christi, you will work under the supervision of our licensed nurses to provide direct patient care, promote independence, and support the overall well-being of our residents. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with our residents, families, and colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide basic nursing care, including vital signs monitoring, medication assistance, and wound care
- Assist with transferring residents from one location to another, using proper transfer techniques
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols
- Document resident care and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff
- Participate in resident care conferences and contribute to the development of individualized care plans

Requirements:
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of TexasHigh school diploma or equivalent required; some college or relevant experience preferred
- Ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 50 pounds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
