With a growing presence in the market, the business is seeking an Account Manager to help expand commercial relationships and accelerate adoption across the assigned territory.
Position Overview:
The Account Manager will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with agricultural retailers, distributors, growers, agronomists, and other channel partners. This individual will drive sales growth by identifying new opportunities, supporting existing accounts, educating customers on the company’s technology, and helping partners successfully position and implement algae-based agricultural products. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of agriculture, crop inputs, biologicals, or related technologies, combined with the commercial skills required to build trusted relationships and grow a territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a territory business plan aligned with company growth objectives. Build and maintain relationships with agricultural retailers, distributors, growers, crop consultants, agronomists, and key influencers. Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory. Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and product education through negotiation, implementation, and account development. Present the company’s algae-based solutions and clearly communicate their value to customers and channel partners. Work with customers to identify appropriate product applications, positioning, and use cases. Coordinate product demonstrations, field trials, customer meetings, and educational events. Partner with agronomy, technical, marketing, and commercial teams to support customer needs. Monitor market activity, competitor developments, customer feedback, and emerging opportunities. Maintain accurate account plans, sales forecasts, activity records, and pipeline information. Support distributor and retailer training to improve product knowledge and market adoption. Attend industry conferences, grower meetings, field days, and relevant agricultural events. Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
