This role is ideal for a compassionate, organized professional who enjoys client interaction, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to be an important part of an emergency and specialty veterinary hospital.As a CSR, you'll be one of the first points of contact for our clients and will help coordinate a smooth, professional experience from check-in through discharge.Compensation$19–$21/hour based on experience+$1/hour weekend shift differential+$6/hour overnight shift differentialBenefitsPaid Time Off (PTO)Medical, dental, and vision insuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)Life insurance401(k) with employer matchingEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Paid trainingProfessional development assistanceEmployee discountReferral programScheduleFull-timeOpening or mid shiftWeekend shifts may be required based on hospital scheduling needsResponsibilitiesProvide professional, compassionate client service throughout the patient visitGreet clients and visitors and manage patient check-ins and check-outsSchedule follow-up appointments and help coordinate client and patient flowOperate a multi-line phone system and manage incoming calls, texts, and emailsFacilitate patient admissions, discharges, and transfersReview invoices, discuss payment options, and process client paymentsSupport clients through euthanasia paperwork and other sensitive situations with empathySend medical records, invoices, and other requested documentationAccurately update patient records and complete end-of-shift reportingCommunicate and collaborate with clinical and specialty teamsMaintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and lobbySupport daily administrative tasks and other duties as assignedQualificationsAt least 2 years of veterinary office experience requiredHigh school diploma or GED requiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and client service skills, including empathy and professionalism during sensitive situationsAbility to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm in a fast-paced emergency environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsComfortable learning new software and technologyExperience with veterinary software, particularly ezyVet, preferredFamiliarity with Microsoft 365 and multi-line phone systems preferredDependable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing prioritiesAbility to work collaboratively with medical and administrative teamsMust be eligible to work in the United StatesAbility to occasionally lift and/or push/pull up to 50 poundsFluent English speaking and reading skills required.About the HospitalSouth Asheville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (SAVES) provides advanced emergency and specialty veterinary medicine in a state-of-the-art facility.
