Senior Propane HVAC Service Technician

Suburban Propane is seeking a Master Technician to support our Utilities & Energy operations. In this hands-on role, you’ll install, troubleshoot, and repair propane systems, tanks, lines, and HVAC equipment for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. You will perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and safety inspections while adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards. Install, troubleshoot, and repair propane systems, tanks, lines, and related equipment Perform diagnostics and repair on HVAC and energy delivery systems Conduct safety checks, leak tests, and code-compliant installations Perform preventive maintenance and document all service activities Operate service vehicles and equipment in accordance with safety standards Respond to customer service calls and provide on-site technical support Educate customers on safe system operation and basic maintenance Maintain accurate records of work orders, parts, and inspections Collaborate with dispatch, operations, and sales teams on service needs Follow DOT, OSHA, and industry regulations for fuel handling and transport Propane system installation and repair HVAC diagnostics and repair Gas piping and leak detection Combustion analysis Electrical troubleshooting for HVAC and burners Use of meters, gauges, and diagnostic tools Reading blueprints and technical schematics DOT, OSHA, and NFPA safety compliance Brazing, soldering, and basic pipefitting Service documentation and work order systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k EPA 608 HVAC Certification Relevant state gasfitter or HVAC license (where applicable) CDL with HazMat endorsement preferred OSHA safety training (10/30-hour) preferred Manufacturer-specific equipment training a plus
