FAA- Production Assembler 2Location: Oro Valley, AZ 85755 Duration: Temp to Hire Shift timings: Standard 1st Shift timings
Job Description: The Assembler 2 position performs disassembly, assembly, re-work, and minimum testing of various electrical/electronic equipment.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Ability to use electric soldering equipment to the J-STD standard.
  • Cut, prepare and pre-tin wires, prepare batteries, Apply conformal coat, marking and adhesive bonding
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Complete work according to instructions, specifications and procedures, under direct and/or limited supervision
  • Perform a variety of complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with company instructions and procedures
  • Conduct inspections of own and/or other associates work to insure correctness in accordance with company and/or customer drawing
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workstation adhering to 6S standards
  • Maintain an acceptable attendance and safety record
  • Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Additional job duties and tasks as needed
  • Assist other departments with job duties, tasks, training, and development as needed
  • Complete additional job duties and tasks as assigned and instructed by Lead Tech / Supervisor
Specifications
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience is preferred.
Certifications:
  • Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
  • Years Experience: Minimum of 2 years prior work experience in an electronics/manufacturing environment or completed OJT training for at least 5 products.
  • SkillsGood mechanical aptitude
  • Able to operate a variety of hand tools and light machinery
  • Capable of performing basic mathematics
  • Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedure
  • Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts
  • Able to problem-solve using existing procedures to perform straightforward tasks
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements: Approximately 90% sitting and 10% standing/walking about in-door Company facilities. Lift and Carry up to 30 lbs. Use hand tools, power tools and electric soldering gun. Use head and neck in static position, looking up/down and side-to-side. Perform major hand grasping and fine finger manipulations using both hands. Perform light lifting from floor, table and shelf. Push and pull carts or mobile tables, loaded and unloaded. Minimal: heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling. Minimal: exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, uneven walking surfaces.
