We are Hydro, Inc., a global industrial pump engineering company headquartered in Chicago. As the world's largest independent pump rebuilder, Hydro has provided engineering expertise, pump repair, and support services to the industry since 1969.We have a great opportunity for a qualified Projects Engineer Pumps to join our team at our location in Chicago, IL. in the great West Loop neighborhood. Essential Job Accountabilities:
Interface with the manager and shop superintendent to maintain production to meet monthly quota and gross profit levels. Ensure that production flow is maintained between the shop and outside contractors by visiting the contractor’s facility and accepting the final product. Interface with account managers to communicate “work in process” progress. Maintain a “work in process” log to enable management to project monthly and quarterly billing levels. Interface with the EPR group to ensure travelers are generated and that the Avante system is utilized. Ensure operations maintain strong health and safety records. Assist the shop superintendent with the safety committee and recordkeeping. Travel to competitors’ facilities to perform pre-quote inspections. Develop detailed proposals with a work scope that enables the Hydro Aire Avante system to be used. Interface with EPR test engineers to become familiar with the test stand and testing methods. In time, I become the test floor engineer supplying data to the EPR hydraulic engineers for sign-off and verification test curves.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Engineering Degree with four to five years of experience. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple projects at a time and work well under pressure and meet required deadlines. Strong technical background in engineering.
