Purpose-Driven Leader Fellowship / Teaching Faculty Compensation: $50 $75 per hour for approved paid assignments Location: Remote United States Format: Flexible, part-time professional fellowship Organization: Voice Up We Connect People to Purpose. We help students and young adults of all ages learn how to accelerate with human-centered AI skills that help them define and develop their own career pathway. The Purpose-Driven Leader Fellowship is a flexible opportunity for working professionals who want to use their professional knowledge, lived experience, and leadership journey to help others discover what is possible while continuing to explore new possibilities for themselves. This is not a traditional faculty position. It is not simply a consulting role. And it is not about having all the answers. The Fellowship begins with a fundamental belief: what you have experienced has value. The challenges you have navigated, decisions you have made, mistakes you have learned from, people you have served, organizations you have helped build, careers you have pursued, and lessons you have accumulated can become valuable resources for someone preparing for their own future. Voice Up wants to help connect that experience to purpose. Purpose in the AI Economy Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing how people learn, work, build, create, and lead. Voice Up believes this transformation can create new opportunities for people who are prepared to combine emerging technology with distinctly human capabilities. The goal is not to prepare everyone for one type of AI job. Instead, Voice Up helps people learn how to use human-centered AI as an accelerator for the pathway they choose. That pathway could involve healthcare, entrepreneurship, education, technology, consulting, public health, nonprofit leadership, research, communications, creative work, community development, or opportunities that are only beginning to emerge. Purpose-Driven Leader Fellows help participants see these possibilities. Fellows bring something AI cannot independently reproduce: the context of lived human experience. What Fellows Do Depending on their expertise, interests, qualifications, and availability, Fellows may: Mentor students and young adults exploring careers and professional opportunities. Share real-world experiences and lessons from their profession. Help participants understand how AI is changing particular industries and careers. Teach or co-teach approved professional-learning experiences. Serve as subject-matter experts or applied-learning consultants. Develop case studies based on authentic professional challenges. Help learners transform ideas into tangible projects, strategies, products, or career-building experiences. Review educational content for professional relevance and accuracy. Participate in workshops, discussions, panels, and interdisciplinary learning experiences. Support the development of new Voice Up courses and career pathways. Explore how their own expertise can translate into consulting, teaching, entrepreneurship, mentoring, or other opportunities within the emerging AI economy. Voice Up's faculty framework emphasizes applied learning, accurate presentation of evidence, actionable feedback, professional boundaries, and continued faculty development. The Five Principles of Voice Up Everything begins with five foundational principles: Collaboration All Are Welcome Humility We All Have Much to Learn Precision All the Details Matter Patience We All Need Forgiveness Empathy We Must Understand Your Why These principles define how Voice Up approaches learning, leadership, relationships, and professional development. Purpose-Driven Leader Fellows are therefore expected to bring expertise with humility. They listen as well as teach. They recognize that different lived experiences create different perspectives. They pay attention to details. They allow people to learn through experimentation and mistakes. And they seek to understand another person's why rather than deciding what that person's purpose should be. Who Should Apply? The Fellowship is designed for working professionals across disciplines and career stages. Potential Fellows may come from healthcare administration, behavioral health, public health, nursing, social work, education, business, entrepreneurship, technology, AI, nonprofit leadership, workforce development, communications, creative industries, organizational leadership, community development, or other professional fields. Voice Up recognizes that expertise can develop through multiple pathways, including academic, professional, applied, and lived/community experience. Traditional university teaching experience is not required for every Fellowship opportunity. What matters is having authentic expertise to contribute, remaining within the boundaries of that expertise, demonstrating a willingness to continue learning, and aligning with the Five Principles. A Fellowship Designed Around Your Existing Career You do not need to leave your current profession to participate. The Purpose-Driven Leader Fellowship is designed to allow working professionals to contribute based on their expertise, availability, and program needs. Approved paid assignments provide $50 $75 per hour, consistent with Voice Up's existing professional faculty compensation structure. Fellows may also have opportunities to progress into specialized responsibilities, including faculty instruction, applied-learning consulting, DFM-informed facilitation, course development, mentoring, project leadership, and faculty review. Why Become a Purpose-Driven Leader Fellow? Because your experience may represent more than where you have been. It may help reveal what you can do next and help someone else discover what they can do next, too. Voice Up is building a community where generations, professions, lived experiences, and emerging technology can come together around a shared mission. We Connect People to Purpose. Bring what you have learned. Continue discovering what is possible. Help others become prepared to define and develop a pathway of their own. Fuller has since done the math on his mother's career the way his mother might have done it herself: twenty-eight years, roughly two thousand eight hundred students, a fraction of whom, by the published research on teacher effects, likely completed a degree they otherwise would not have a conservative multiplier that lands, by his own estimate, somewhere in nine figures of aggregate lifetime earning. It is an odd thing to calculate about your own mother. It is also, in miniature, the exact instinct that would define nearly everything he built afterward: the refusal to let a meaningful human pattern remain merely felt when it could instead be shown.
