Medical Chart Builder

Pay Range: $19-20/
HRPosition Overview: Our healthcare client in Knoxville is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Chart Builder to support the development, maintenance, and optimization of electronic medical records within their healthcare technology systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring patient charts are built accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with organizational standards, helping clinical teams deliver exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong technical aptitude, experience working within electronic health record (EHR) systems, and a passion for data accuracy and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities: Build, configure, and maintain patient chart templates within the organization's EHR platform. Create and update provider documentation workflows, clinical forms, assessments, and order sets. Ensure chart structures align with clinical, operational, billing, and regulatory requirements. Review chart builds for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards. Collaborate with clinical, operational, IT, and revenue cycle teams to implement workflow enhancements. Test and validate chart configurations before deployment. Troubleshoot chart-related issues and recommend solutions. Support EHR optimization projects, system upgrades, and process improvement initiatives. Maintain documentation related to chart build specifications and system changes. Assist with user training and provide support regarding chart functionality.
Qualifications: High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.1+ year of healthcare experience working with electronic health records, clinical documentation, medical records, or healthcare technology systems. Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, medical terminology, and clinical documentation standards. Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance requirements.
