Tenure Track Faculty Position The Department of Psychological Sciences at Benedictine College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant or associate professor rank, with expertise in neuroscience, biopsychology, and/or behavioral sciences, to begin August 2027. Review of applications begins on October 1st, 2026 and continues until the position is filled. The beautiful campus of Benedictine College is situated in picturesque Atchison, KS on the bluffs above the Missouri River. Atchison is within an hour of major cities such as Kansas City, Saint Joseph, Lawrence and Topeka as well as 35 minutes from the Kansas City International Airport. Benedictine College, which has a full-time undergraduate enrollment of approximately 2200 students, is a mission-centered academic community. Essential Functions: Candidates are expected to teach General Psychology, Research & Statistics in Psychology, Research Seminar, Biopsychology and/or Psychology of Learning, and courses aligned with the faculty member's area of interest. The teaching load is 12 credit hours; generally three course preparations per semester. Faculty members also provide academic advising, supervise undergraduate research, and serve on committees. We are particularly interested in candidates who are committed to teaching excellence and engaging undergraduate students in research.
