Qualifications: Displays care and concern for the safety and well-being of self, animals and others, especially during stressful situations Promotes open and respectful communication and feedback to all staff and volunteers Follows all written and verbally communicated departmental standard operating procedures Capable of lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds repeatedly and up to 100 pounds with assistance Able to stand for long periods, climb, bend, squat, reach, kneel, balance, and use hands repetitively Plans, organizes and prioritizes work tasks Communicates clearly verbally and in writing Supports the development of team members by sharing advice and knowledge proactively Language: English (Required) Education and Work Experience: High School Diploma (Required) Experience working in veterinarian setting: One year required Experience in animal sheltering/shelter: Experience preferred but not required. Certified RVT is preferred but we will also consider candidates with experience in veterinary surgery Schedule: Day shift No nights No weekends Job Type: Part-time Pay: $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week Education: High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience: Veterinary technician: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: Veterinary Technician Certification (Preferred but will also consider candidateswith experience in veterinary surgery)
