About the role

The Survey School is a workforce development platform for the land surveying and geospatial industry. We focus on practical, job-ready skills that go beyond test prep, helping surveyors and geospatial professionals build long-term careers. Members get live instruction, hands‑on training in modern tools, and a community of professionals who support each other's growth.
Role Description: We're looking for a part‑time, remote Remote Sensing & Photogrammetry Instructor to teach a live online course for our members. The course covers drone mapping, but it's grounded in traditional aerial mapping and how it all actually works: photogrammetry fundamentals, sensor and camera geometry, aerial triangulation, and the broader remote sensing side of the field. Our team has already built the curriculum. Your role is to develop the coursework (lessons, exercises, and examples) and teach the live sessions. The class meets twice a week for one hour per session. You'll also create quizzes, answer member questions, and help connect the theory to real projects.
Qualifications: Certified Photogrammetrist (CP) through ASPRS Previous teaching experience, online or in person Strong background in traditional aerial mapping and photogrammetry, along with UAV/drone mapping workflows Working knowledge of remote sensing principles and data (imagery, LiDAR, multispectral) Experience with photogrammetry and geospatial processing software Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to working professionals Comfortable teaching live in a remote environment and working independently
