About the Opportunity: Meridian ESL is inviting applications from qualified English teachers interested in teaching online with Polly English, an online English teaching company based in Singapore. Polly English specialises in interactive English lessons for students aged 3–18 across Asia. Its teaching approach uses digital courseware inspired by Oxford Thinkers and a dedicated online classroom platform to create engaging learning experiences. This opportunity is ideal for experienced teachers who enjoy working with children and helping young learners develop their English communication skills. Responsibilities: Deliver engaging online English lessons to students aged 3–18.
Encourage students to develop their speaking, listening and communication skills. Follow the provided course materials and lesson structure. Create a positive and supportive learning environment. Adapt teaching techniques to suit students' individual learning needs.
Requirements: Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
Be a native English speaker from the United States or Canada. Hold a bachelor's degree or higher. Hold a recognised teaching certificate, such as a 120-hour TEFL, TESOL or CELTA. Have more than one year of teaching experience. Have a genuine interest in teaching children and developing their English skills. Technical Requirements Stable, reliable internet connection. Computer with an Intel Core i5 processor, 8th generation or newer. Ability to use the Polly English app. Successful completion of the required device compatibility test. Working Hours Teachers must be available for at least 10 teaching hours during peak booking times, based on Singapore time. Weekdays: 5:00 pm–9:00 pm
Weekends: Flexible availability throughout the day.
