Kafka Infra Automation Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Kafka Infrastructure Automation Engineer with 7-10 years of infrastructure automation experience The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing developing and automating the deployment and management of Confluent Kafka platforms across private and public cloud environmentsThis role requires strong expertise in Terraform Python and Ansible along with the ability to collaborate with engineering operations security and application teams to deliver scalable secure and resilient messaging solutions Relevant enterprise references show strong alignment with Confluent Kafka Terraformbased infrastructure automation Python scripting and securityfocused platform engineeringKey ResponsibilitiesDesign develop and maintain infrastructure automation solutions for deploying and managing Confluent Kafka environments across cloud platformsDevelop Infrastructure as Code IaC solutions using Terraform and automation frameworks using Python and AnsibleGather and analyze business requirements from Line of Business LOB teams and translate them into scalable technical solutionsCollaborate with Engineering Operations and Application Support teams to design and optimize messaging infrastructure and Kafka servicesCreate automation for platform provisioning testing validation and operational support activitiesTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure deployment testing performance and platform stabilityDefine and implement IT security standards controls and best practices across complex projectsPerform security risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies to address vulnerabilities and compliance requirementsDocument technical designs operational procedures security controls and implementation plansDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation reliability resiliency and operational excellenceAct as a key contributor in enabling secure scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure solutionsRequired Skills 7-10 years of experience in DevOps Infrastructure Engineering or Platform EngineeringStrong handson experience with Confluent Kafka Apache KafkaExpertise in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code IaCStrong programming and automation experience using Python and AnsibleExperience with cloud platforms AWS Azure GCP or private cloud environmentsStrong understanding of CICD pipelines infrastructure automation and configuration managementKnowledge of messaging systems distributed systems and eventdriven architecturesExperience with LinuxUnix administration and shell scriptingStrong troubleshooting debugging and problemsolving skillsExperience with security controls risk management and compliance frameworks
