The Role: We are looking for an additional field service engineer based in the Indianapolis, IN area to join our service team, providing field service, technical support, software support and operator training to our customers. The candidate will be responsible for providing installation, basic operator training, field service, validation, and technical support to our customers. The position would suit someone with proven FSE experience, or someone looking to move from laboratory work to an FSE role. This is a great opportunity to work with a customer-focused company supporting several niche product lines. This position will be based remotely when not travelling.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct installation and basic user training of instruments and softwareProvide preventive maintenance, upgrades, and repairs
  • Perform validation services (IQ/OQ) of hardware and softwareProvide technical, and when appropriate, application support
  • Work closely with service management to coordinate schedule and prioritize service needs
  • Record work performed in the service database and prepare service reports in a timely manner

Requirements:
  • Engineering/Biology/Chemistry related degree with knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and software
  • At least 2 years professional field engineer experience or laboratory background, preferably in the pharmaceutical or nuclear medicine industry
  • At least 2 years’ experience and knowledge of liquid chromatography (HPLC) or liquid scintillation counting
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Willingness to travel internationally occasionally
  • Must be highly motivated and have strong problem-solving ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Computer and software experience and proficiency
Benefits: This position offers a salary range of $70,000-$80,000 per year, depending on skills, experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
