Senior Proposal Manager

Overview As Senior Proposal Manager, you steer high-stakes bids from concept to submission in a lean, high-performance setting. You’ll shape win strategies with executive partners and lead cross-functional teams to deliver compelling, compliant proposals for complex DoW and federal opportunities. You’ll elevate the proposal capability, mentor a growing team, and drive continuous process improvement in disruptive technology programs. This role offers direct exposure to executive leadership and a clear impact on Kratos’ growth as a prime contractor. Compensation / Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Coverage Life/ADD & Short/Long Term Disability Insurance 401(k) Savings Plan Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Paid Time-Off (PTO)Holidays Education Reimbursement Responsibilities Lead end-to-end proposal development for RFPs, BAAs, OTAs, and IDIQ task orders Manage complex, multi-volume proposals with tight timelines Apply Shipley methodology throughout the lifecycle Create and manage schedules, compliance matrices, and quality control Coordinate kickoff, daily standups, and color-team reviews with executives Oversee final production and on-time delivery Improve proposal processes and policies Partner with capture to develop win strategies Interface with executives for strategic guidance and go/no-go decisions Lead cross-functional teams including SMEs, pricing, contracts, and teaming partners Translate technical solutions into customer-focused narratives Develop executive summaries that differentiate and win Ensure 100% compliance with FAR/DFARS and agency requirements Conduct rigorous compliance reviews and quality gates Manage risk and mitigation plans Maintain proposal schedules under short timelines Mentor junior staff and grow the proposal team Build scalable proposal processes and content libraries Provide Shipley training to cross-functional members Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned Key requirements Shipley methodology expertise (preferred)Proven leadership of end-to-end proposal efforts in DoD/government environments Ability to interact with VP/SVP-level executives Strong cross-functional collaboration with capture, BD, pricing, contracts, engineering, and partners Experience managing high-value proposals ($100M-$1B+)Risk assessment and go/no-go decision experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfort with fast-paced, growth-focused environmentleadershipstrategic thinkingstakeholder management Shipley methodologyFAR/DFARS complianceproposal management and scheduling
