About the role

International team. This is a newly created role focused on channel management for the brand’s small store fleet across international markets. Reporting to the Senior Merchant, you’ll own a book of business and be accountable for driving sales, growth, and assortment strategy across regions. This role needs someone who has already worked as a Merchant or Buyer. You’ll make decisions with confidence, lead cross-functional partners, and move fast in a business that’s building new processes as it grows.
What You’ll Do: Leadership and Strategy Partner with merchant leadership to grow the international business by connecting financial patterns and market insights to new growth opportunities Help pioneer and refine a new buy model for international markets Adapt global brand strategies to individual markets while meeting or beating financial goals Act as the category expert in key brand and cross-functional meetings, driving prioritization and assortment distortion Lead day-to-day communication between the international and domestic teams Build, test, and improve new processes that support international growth Financial Own sales and growth targets for your book of business, spotting opportunities for incremental growth and managing risk Analyze and report weekly financial results to shape business strategy Partner with planning teams to keep category strategy aligned Lead seasonal hindsight work using historical data to guide forward strategy Read selling trends and regional differences to manage in-season and future opportunities Product and Assortment Drive assortment edits and distortions by market Manage all assortment details in internal assortment tools and cascade strategy changes to cross-functional teams Execute sales education, marketing, and visual requests for your category, pre-season and in-season Build customer and competitive knowledge, including through market visits and travel Prepare presentation decks for key meetings and handle ad hoc requests Collaboration and Partner Support Stay closely connected with field and regional teams through business reviews, strategy cascades, and regional analysis Build strong relationships with domestic merchants to share best practices and stay current on assortment strategy Share customer insights, floorset feedback, and recommendations from store visits Participate in vendor meetings and team meetings as part of the regular workflow Team Leadership Onboard new cross-functional partners Coach and mentor team members with ongoing feedback Set the example for a collaborative, customer-focused team culture
What You Bring: 5+ years of experience in merchandise buying and brand development Previous experience as a Merchant, Senior Merchant, or Buyer (required) Multi-category experience (required) Confident decision maker with proven experience leading teams Strong analytical, strategic, and creative thinking skills Ability to influence at all levels and present clearly to different audiences Comfortable with change: you anticipate what’s coming and adjust quickly Self-starter and team player who likes working collaboratively Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook) International or multi-market retail experience is a plus Education Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising or a related field preferred #LI-Hybrid
