Content Writer (Websites) – Legal Industry Focus Location: NC, TX, WV, TN, FL, PA only Employment Type: Full-Time About Us: Optimize My Firm is a marketing agency dedicated to helping law firms grow their practices through high-quality, people-first content and smart SEO strategies. We connect lawyers with the clients who need them most by creating informative, trustworthy, and engaging content that answers the questions prospective clients are asking on Google.
Position Overview:
We’re seeking a creative and strategic Website Content Writer to join our team. This role involves writing content for law firm websites, generating content ideas that align with law firm objectives, and researching legal topics to provide accurate and trustworthy information. As a member of our writing team, you will craft people-first content while keeping SEO best practices in mind. A strong understanding of what potential clients look for when hiring a lawyer—and the ability to communicate this in plain language—is essential. Some basic WordPress publishing experience is required. All of our content must be human generated – no AI content development allowed.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and develop content ideas relevant to various areas of law and client needs.
Write engaging, informative, and accurate web pages and information guides for law firm clients.
Compose 4-5 website articles per day without the use of AI.Ensure all content is clear, accessible, and written for people first (not just search engines).Incorporate SEO best practices to help law firms reach their target audience online.
Publish articles in WordPress.
Collaborate with internal team members to refine content strategy, creating and contributing new content ideas
Qualifications:
- Ability to generate new content ideas from existing content and life experience.
- Ability to write content without the use of AI.Proven experience writing in the legal field or other industry where you take complex information and make it accessible to everyday people.
- Ability to empathize with legal clients, understanding what information they might be looking for in their situation (i.e. after a loved one dies in a motorcycle accident)
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail. No AI.To be considered, you must submit a cover letter.
- Ability to quickly learn, retain, and explain legal information.
- Ability to write about similar concepts across multiple websites without having the content sound identical.
- Basic knowledge of SEO principles.
- Basic proficiency with WordPress (publishing, formatting, updating pages).Proficient in Word, Google Drive, and Box.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Independent self-starter, able to work from home from 9-5. Must have a dedicated workspace, free from distractions.
