About the role
Joining the OrioleDB team as a full-time remote OrioleDB Deployment Engineer, the successful candidate will manage software packaging, oversee release lifecycles, and optimize CI/CD processes while collaborating closely with developers to enhance the OrioleDB offering.
Key responsibilities:
Package software into the supabase/postgres repository using Nix and transition to Nix packaging
Manage OrioleDB release lifecycles, ensuring timely upgrades and maintenance
Optimize CI/CD processes and tooling, expanding GitHub Actions and testing approaches
Required qualifications:
3+ years of experience with PostgreSQL and its ecosystem, including extensions and performance optimization
Proficiency in the Nix package management system, along with experience in Ansible, Packer, Docker, and Kubernetes
Experience building for multiple architectures, specifically Linux and Darwin/macOS aarch64 targets
Ability to work in polyglot environments, including C/C++, Go, JavaScript, and Rust-based projects
Experience in async or globally distributed teams, valuing independent and proactive problem-solving
