Physical Therapy Aide Responsible for implementing treatment programs established by the Physical Therapist in accordance with all state and federal regulations. Collaborates with center staff to promote the highest possible physical, mental and psychosocial well-being for the patients. General Responsibilities Screens, and makes recommendations based on observations of assigned patients as needed. Implements established physical therapy treatment plans to meet each patient's needs. Collaborates/communicates effectively with other center team members to ensure optimal patient care and progress. Prioritizes responsibilities to ensure effective clinical operations. Demonstrates ability and willingness to attain productivity benchmark. Completes documentation/billing timely, and accurately. Ensures MD orders are obtained according to company policy and procedures. Willingly accepts the supervision of Physical Therapy Assistant students as requested according to state, federal, and Physical Therapy Practice Act guidelines. Reports all instances of abuse or neglect or other concerns to management. Attends and participates in orientation, training, and in-service education, and staff meetings. Ensures all mandatory training is completed on time. Remains professional in appearance, dependability and interactions with others. Follows through on commitments. Acts with integrity on all matters. Demonstrates uncompromising adherence to ethical principles and organizational values. Deals with individuals with a range of moods and behaviors in a tactful, personal manner. Avoids intimidating, antagonizing or alienating people. Communicates effectively with all interested parties. Complies with pertinent laws, regulations, and MFA policies and procedures. Complies with APTA code of ethics and State Practice Act. Performs duties in accordance with the MFA Corporate Compliance program. Performs other duties as may be assigned by appropriate MFA management. Prerequisites, Skills, & Abilities Job Description: Must possess an Associate's degree. Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills.
