- Day and Night ShiftsRhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Virginia licensed Hospitalist Physicians for a locum tenens inpatient hospital medicine assignment in Salem, Virginia. This role supports acute inpatient care in a Level II trauma center, with procedural support preferred and documentation completed in Meditech EMR.Opportunity DetailsLocation: Salem, VirginiaAssignment Type: Locum TenensSetting: Inpatient hospital medicine at a Level II trauma centerCoverage: OngoingScheduled Coverage: ASAPMinimum Availability: At least 7 shifts during the assignment periodSchedule DetailsDay shifts: 6:00 AM–6:00 PMNight shifts: 6:00 PM–6:00 AMWillingness to work both days and nights requiredClinical ScopeAcute inpatient care for patients of all agesGeneral medicine and primary care dutiesProcedural support preferred: central lines, lumbar puncture, thoracentesis, paracentesisDocumentation in Meditech EMRCollaboration with GME and non-GME physicians and advanced practice providersPractice EnvironmentLevel II trauma hospital with 306 bedsHospitalist team includes both GME and non-GME providersMeditech EMR used for documentationRequirementsActive Virginia medical license (in hand)
Unrestricted VA DEA registration (in hand)
