Principal AI Software Engineer, TechEx (US)

Overview As a Senior AI Engineer at Lamina, you will design, build, and deploy AI agents that automate workflows and boost platform intelligence. You will craft advanced prompting strategies for LLMs to support engineering and product use cases, and own AI features from ideation to production monitoring. You’ll work with product, engineering, and design teams to align AI capabilities with business goals while integrating with backend services and APIs. Compensation / Benefitsmedical, dental, vision insurance 401k planannual bonusesstock purchase programpaid time off (unlimited)ten paid holidays per year Responsibilities Design, build, and deploy AI agents to automate workflows and enhance platform intelligence Develop prompting strategies for LLMs (Claude, GPT, Gemini) for engineering/product use cases Own end-to-end lifecycle of AI features from ideation to production deployment and monitoring Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align AI with business goals and user needs Integrate AI solutions with existing backend services and APIs (Java, React, AWS)Ensure scalability, security, and compliance of AI systems in a regulated fintech environment Stay current with emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and best practices Key requirements 5+ years in software engineering with at least 2 years in AI/ML or LLM applications Proven experience building and deploying autonomous agents or AI-driven workflows Expertise in prompt engineering and fine-tuning LLMs for specific tasks Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with Lang Chain, OpenAI, Anthropic Background in data engineering with ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses Solid understanding of data science methodologies and toolsSQL proficiency and experience with Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks Experience integrating AI with AWS and microservices Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to lead initiatives Familiarity with Agile development and CI/CD pipelinescommunicationcollaborationleadership Python Lang Chain OpenAI
