About the role
If you've spent the last few years steering high end interiors projects from concept all the way through to site, and you want to run the kind of work that ends up on the covers of the world's best design magazines, this opportunity might well be for you. A globally celebrated interior design studio is growing its New York team. They need a Project Manager who can protect design intent while keeping schedules, fees and budgets firmly on track. Experience managing interiors projects through every phase, construction administration included, is a must. You'll be the operational backbone of each project, working hand in hand with Design Directors, Project Leads and in house specialist teams, plus clients, operators, consultants and contractors around the world.
What you'll do:
Build and manage project schedules, milestones and workplans alongside the Design Directors and Project Leads Own project financials including fee schedules, billing projections, forecasting and preliminary FF&E budgets Lead client, consultant and vendor coordination through documentation and delivery, driving value engineering without losing the design Run QA/QC reviews at key milestones and flag constructability risks early Manage CA including shop drawings, samples, RFIs, submittals, change orders and additional services via platforms such as Procore Lead site visits, mock up reviews and factory visits (some international), issuing site reports and punch lists Mentor junior team members and help shape staffing and resourcing What you'll bring 3 to 5 years in project management within interior design or architectureA bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture, project management or a related field Demonstrable luxury hospitality, residential or retail interiors experience Projects managed through every phase from concept to construction administration, with built work to show for itA confident grasp of fee structures, billable hours, budgets and revenue forecasting Strong MS Project and Excel skills, plus experience with project and financial tracking platforms AutoCAD, Revit and Procore experience is a real plus Hands on experience with pricing, procurement and contract administration Highly organized, proactive and calm under pressure, with a passport ready for international travel.
