About the Role:
As an Associate Manager, you'll be the core owner behind how we approach consumer strategy using pricing as a growth lever, with a deep focus on fee structure and affordability. You will spend your days understanding our end to end financials by looking at the ins and outs of our P&L, order data and pricing data to drive changes to how we make DoorDash more affordable for our consumers. You'll work closely with Finance, Analytics, and Product in forecasting consumer and financial impacts, building pricing models, design A/B tests, and launching new fee structures. It's a high-visibility seat at the intersection of strategy, operations, and finance - your analyses will inform decisions that reach millions of customers. The best operators today are rapidly generating new ideas, taking ownership over metrics and moving them in the right direction through building product visions, synthesizing complex analyses and testing every idea — all while leveraging AI to uplevel how we operate. We expect this person to stay at the forefront of how AI is reshaping the work, actively exploring new tools, automating repetitive workflows, and finding ways to do in hours what used to take weeks. This is an individual contributor role reporting into a Senior Manager on the New Verticals Affordability team within the broader New Verticals Consumer organization. You're Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…Analyze. Run SQL queries and build Excel models to quantify the consumer, operational, and financial tradeoffs of fee changes, leveraging AI tools like Claude & Cursor to automate and move faster. Build with AI. You'll use AI tools to automate manual processes, build new prototypes and develop product visions. You'll be expected to push the boundaries of what's possible with AI in your day-to-day work, and share what you learn with the team. Forecast. Partner with Finance to project how pricing decisions will play out, and track actuals against those projections once programs are live. Experiment. Work with Analytics to design A/B tests across markets and verticals, and translate the results into crisp read-outs and recommendations for senior leadership. Operate and Collaborate. Own the metrics and dashboards for your programs, sharing with partners across the New Verticals organization. We're Excited About You Because…You have 4-6+ years of success in highly analytical roles: investment banking, corporate FP&A, management consulting, corporate strategy, or business operations is required. You're energized by AI tools — and you actively experiment with them. You don't wait to be told how to use a new tool; you're already exploring tools like Claude, Cursor, Gemini and more. You bring a builder's mindset to AI: using it to automate the repetitive, accelerate the analytical, and unlock work that would otherwise require a larger team. You're comfortable with a role whose scope will continue to shift as AI becomes more capable, and you see that as an opportunity rather than a threat. You enjoy ambiguity. You break messy, open-ended problems down from first principles and turn them into clear plans, taking responsibility for moving things forward. You are analytical. You thrive on analytical tasks, building models and forecasts from scratch. You have a completed Bachelor's Degree, MBA a plus.
