Job Description
Job Duties:
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel pipe
- Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping
- Perform SMAW, GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG and/or FCAW welding as required
- Measure, cut, grind, fit, and assemble pipe and components
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
- Perform welding according to approved WPS and applicable welding codes
- Inspect completed welds and make repairs or corrections as needed
- Maintain weld quality to meet visual, radiographic, and ultrasonic inspection standards
- Follow all company and job-site safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Previous pipe welding experience
- Strong TIG welding skills
- Experience with stainless and carbon steel
- Must be able to pass an ASME 6G pipe welding test
- Ability to read blueprints and weld drawings
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass drug/alcohol testing, background check, and MVRAbility to lift up to 75 lbs. and work long shifts in a shop/industrial environment
- Must be available for overtime and occasional weekend work
