Real Estate Settlement Officer

Responsibilities: Review the title commitment and work with the loan closer to prepare closing disclosures and real estate settlement statementsAssure all closing instructions are followed as per the closing package, and confirm with the loan officer, mortgage loan processor, and underwriter to be sure all underwriting commitments have been satisfiedLiaise with the pre-processor to be sure all items are complete, the settlement processor or paralegal to ensure all settlement figures are correct, and with the post-closing agent to ensure the transaction is recorded and any outstanding issues are resolvedRecord transactions by entering the necessary title and loan documents into software programs, and track the applicant's progress Qualifications:

• Some college is helpful; high school diploma or equivalent is required
• A notary public certification is not imperative, but is a bonus
• Excellent research, communications, customer service, and analysis skills are needed
• Years of experience (1-3) with real estate transactions or title processing, or as a title company pre-processor or mortgage loan processor is essential
• Intermediate proficiency with numerous programs including MS Office is essential Proficient computer skills with numerous programs including MS Office, Qualia, Adobe DC is preferred
• College is an asset but not required; high school diploma or equivalent is required Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 yearly
