Purchasing Agent

Job Responsibilities: Reviews requisitions Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule Prepares purchase orders Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action Expedites delivery of goods to users Creates and distributes manufacturer backorder report Inventory adjustments and investigation/resolution of discrepancies Processing of backorders for shipment upon receipt Analysis and maintenance of reorder parameters Expediting and backorder prevention reports Review and resolution of slow turning inventory Regularly scheduled replenishments Conduct periodic location verification Review/evaluate/maintain automated inventory reorder parameters Miscellaneous projects as assigned by supervisor Qualifications: 5 years purchasing experience required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good analytical skills Multi-task ability Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data entry Inventory management experience is preferred Ability to lift 25 lbs Salary & Benefits: $20-27/hour Medical, Dental and Vision (Eligible first day of employment) Flexible Spending Account Life & Disability Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Vacation and Sick Days Paid Holidays Education Assistance Career-minded individuals will find our business challenging and our reputation for excellence just one of the rewards we have to offer. The posted range for this position is $20-27/hour which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role.
