Details Acute Care ICU unit within a hospital setting 13-week contract, 40 hours/week (8-hour shifts, 5 days/week) Night shift schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM Weekend and holiday shifts as needed Floating required as needed Assists with intubation, central line insertion, and arterial line insertion and care Works with ventilated patients to promote early mobility Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted) BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification through the American Heart Association Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience ASN required, BSN preferred Epic charting experience required Strong critical thinking and nursing judgment skills for assessing changes in patient condition Additional Information Provides direct nursing care to ICU patients using established standards and multidisciplinary collaboration Supervises and delegates tasks to nursing assistants and health care technicians Completes patient assessments, develops care plans, and documents care accurately Utilizes hourly rounding, bedside reporting, and patient whiteboards for communication Reports to the Nurse Manager and collaborates with the care team to optimize patient outcomes Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration RTO not to exceed 7 total days during the 13-week contract Workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year without a required 6-month break in service American Traveler Job ID P-735554.
