Facility Maintenance TechnicianThe Facility Maintenance Technician supports the Facilities Manager in maintaining a safe, efficient, and fully operational facility. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring building systems, equipment, and infrastructure are properly maintained and compliant with company policies and safety regulations.
The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and not afraid to roll up their sleeves. This is a full-time position that may require flexibility outside regular business hours to respond to alarms, system failures, or urgent facility needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to facility and equipment alarms, emergencies, and system failuresProvide prompt and professional support to maintenance requests from building occupantsCoordinate with external vendors for routine maintenance and repairs, including:
HVAC systemsElectrical and UPS systemsFire alarm and sprinkler systemsBackup generatorsSecurity systemsHousekeeping servicesPerform general facility maintenance and repairs as neededMonitor building systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliancePromote a safe work environment by supporting OSHA and Department of Health compliance and conducting safety training for employeesAssist with environmental health and safety initiativesAct as a backup to the Facilities Manager when requiredQualifications & SkillsMinimum of 2 years of building maintenance experiencein a large-scale facility (approximately 1 million sq. ft.)High School Diploma or GED requiredTechnical certification or Bachelor’s degree in a related fieldstrongly preferredWorking knowledge ofOSHA and Department of Health regulationsBilingual (English and Spanish) requiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational and time-management abilitiesStrong work ethic with a hands-on, team-oriented mindsetPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the workdayAbility to frequently lift and move items weighing50+ poundsVision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, with the ability to adjust focusCompensation details:27 Hourly WagePIdcd2df480a0c-37344-39449803
