Responsibilities:
- Provide medical care and treatment to a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, exotics and other small animals
- Perform sick and stable patient consultations, check-ups, vaccinations, and care measures
- Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and diseases in animals
- Conduct surgical procedures as necessary
- Prescribe medications and administer treatments
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to ensure quality patient care
Skills:
Strong desire to learn, excel and provide excellent medical care. Strong team building and communication skills. Strong base knowledge Proficient in handling and restraining animals safely and effectively
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree. Foreign accredited applicants are encouraged to apply.
- Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the state
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners
- Ability to work well in a team environment
