Fabric Assistant - Apparel Fabric Development

Job Type: Full-time, Entry Level

Pay: $40,000 to $45,000 per year Launch your career in textiles with hands-on experience in fabric sourcing, development, and production for an apparel team. Must-Haves 0 to 2 years of experience in textiles or a related field Strong interest in textiles and apparel and eagerness to learn Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Good written and verbal communication skills Comfort communicating with mills, factories, and internal teams Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

What You'll Do: Support fabric sourcing and development and follow up with suppliers Organize fabric samples, production samples, and records Prepare and maintain fabric charts for development and production Collect and upload FDS, test reports, and sustainability certificates Help create purchase orders for proto and sample yardage Communicate daily with mills and factories on sample status and deliveries Track fabric submissions, approvals, and production status Review fabric quality and color and share comments with suppliers Assist with shipping details, invoices, and general administrative tasks Nice-to-Haves Knowledge of fabric terminology, construction, and fiber content PLM or product development system experience Degree or coursework in textiles, fashion, or a related field

Compensation and Benefits: $40,000 to $45,000 per year Hands-on training in fabric development and production
