What You'll Do:
Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, including vital signs and level of consciousness.
Maintain a patent airway and assess respiratory function.
Respond promptly to airway obstruction or respiratory distress.
Administer medications, fluids, and other treatments to manage pain, nausea, and post-operative symptoms.
Assess surgical sites, dressings, and patients for bleeding or other complications.
Recognize adverse reactions to anesthesia or surgery and initiate appropriate interventions.
Document patient care accurately and communicate patient status with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members.
