ABOUT CHILL-NChill-N is the smallest ice cream factory you'll ever walk into, and our team's job is to bring every guest inside it. Guests pick the base, the flavor and the Mix-N's, then watch us freeze their cup in front of them at −320°F. We started in Miami in 2012 and now have 15 locations in five states, ten of them in South Florida. We're a family business. The family that started Chill-N still runs it, and we treat our team, our guests and our neighborhoods like family too. We're serious about the ice cream and easy about everything else. Our mission is to serve happiness to our communities one cup at a time.
THE ROLE:
At Chill-N this role is called Team Leader (Coconut Grove). The General Manager runs the store. The Team Leader runs the shift. When you're on the floor, the pace, the standard and the people are yours. You're who a Team Member asks when they don't know, and who a guest gets when something's gone wrong.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Lead the shift: assign stations, hold the pace, and jump on the line at peak.- Coach in the moment, with feedback that's specific and kind.- Open and close the store, including keys, alarm and cash.- Keep the store clean, stocked and food-safe all shift, not just at close.- Take care of guests when something goes wrong, including refunds and comps.- Train new Team Members, and tell your GM who's ready for more.
REQUIRED:
16 or older- Availability across weekends, evenings, holidays, opens and closes- Able to stand for a full shift (up to 8 hours) and lift up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodationPREFERRED- Food service or customer service experience- Experience leading a shift or training others- Cash handling experience- Florida Food Handler certification- Bilingual in English and SpanishSCHEDULEPart-time, 15–30 hours a week. The store is open 1–10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 1–11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Opening shifts start around noon, and closing shifts end about an hour after close.
PAY AND BENEFITS:
Total pay: $16–$23 an hour.- Base pay: $13–$15 an hour, based on experience.- Tips: typically $3–$6 an hour, shared by hours worked. Tips vary and aren't guaranteed.- Growth: Strong Team Leaders are considered for General Manager roles, which come with higher pay and a quarterly bonus.- Perks: A free ice cream every shift, and a $25 Employee of the Week award.
