Shop Drawing Drafter/Coordinator

Core Responsibilities: Detailed Modeling & Drafting: Generate highly accurate 2D shop drawings for structural timber components, framing layouts, and assembly instructions. Connection Detailing: Design and detail structural wood connections, including simpson hardware and wood-to-wood joinery. Coordination & Clash Detection: Coordinate structural wood components with foundations, MEP systems, and structural steel elements to prevent costly on-site installation conflicts. Quality Assurance: Verify all wood grades, species specifications, moisture requirements, and hardware tolerances comply with architectural plans, structural engineering calculations, and building code

Key Qualifications: Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of heavy timber framing, mass timber (LVT/Glulam), and wood truss systems. Software Proficiency: Mastery of specialized timber/BIM software Blueprints & Codes: Strong ability to read architectural/structural blueprints and apply relevant wood engineering standards (e.g., NDS guidelines, IBC).
