Software Engineer (Back-End)

Notifications Engineer To enable Pet Health to build new notifications to Pet Parents and Veterinarians using the pharmacy rules engine to help keep Pet Parents informed and drive towards obtaining approvals for orders. Design and develop lambdas, APIs, and data storage strategies for notifications. They need to understand how to source data from disparate data stores and how to process data, build algorithms, etc. You will have responsibility over components of Chewy's systems – both development and operational needs. Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development. Be involved in design reviews and perform code reviews based on Chewy's engineering rigor and standards. Debug production issues in Chewy services and tech stack. Measure and optimize the performance, effectiveness, and uptime of backend services.
