Psychiatric Registered Nurse

Gifted Healthcare is seeking a Psych RN to deliver compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric nursing care within acute and behavioral health settings. The Psych RN will perform comprehensive mental health assessments, administer medications, manage crises, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support safe, therapeutic environments. Provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing assessments and ongoing patient monitoring Administer and manage psychotropic medications and treatments per provider orders Implement and evaluate individualized care plans for patients with mental health conditions Respond to psychiatric emergencies and lead or assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, therapists, and other team members on treatment planning Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and coping strategies Ensure a safe, therapeutic environment and adherence to all safety and infection-control protocols Participate in treatment team meetings, handoffs, and quality improvement initiatives Advocate for patient rights, dignity, and culturally sensitive care Psychiatric nursing assessment Medication administration (including psychotropics) Crisis intervention and de-escalation Suicide and risk assessment Care planning for mental health conditions Behavioral health documentation and EMR use Group and milieu management Patient and family education Knowledge of DSM-5 and common psychiatric diagnoses Interdisciplinary team collaboration Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license in state of practice BSN preferred Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (RN-BC) preferred BLS certification CPI or equivalent de-escalation/restraint training Experience in inpatient or acute psychiatric setting
