Pharmacy Technician Full Time

Qualifications: The ideal Pharmacy Technician is detail-oriented, with strong math and critical thinking skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both patients and team members. This individual is a self-starter and continuous learner who can work independently while maintaining a clear understanding of team goals. They are also willing and able to support and teach others when needed. A strong sense of urgency is essential, balanced with a commitment to accuracy. This role is best suited for someone who is passionate about helping others and strives for excellence through versatility and reliability. The ideal candidate can multitask, manage time effectively, and prioritize responsibilities appropriately. Professionalism, punctuality, honesty, and trustworthiness are expected.

Responsibilities: Pharmacy Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Greet customers in person and over the phone, providing information and appropriately referring questions outside of scope to the pharmacist
• Review and process new and refill prescription orders upon receipt
• Accurately fill prescriptions and label bottles and containers
• Enter and maintain patient profile information in the pharmacy system
• Process prescription insurance claims and assist with prior authorizations as needed
• Prepare home delivery packages to ensure accurate and timely delivery
• Notify customers when prescriptions are ready for pickup
• Assist pharmacists with routine daily operations
• Maintain inventory at appropriate par levels and remove expired products for proper disposal
• Maintain a current understanding of Ohio pharmacy law
• Ensure a clean, organized work environment in compliance with company and regulatory standards
• SpecificationsRequiredEligible for State Board Certification
• High School Diploma or GEDClean background record
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Preferred
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (required within 90 days of hire; exam reimbursement provided upon passing)
• Retail or hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Desired1–2 years of pharmacy experience
