Overview
In this role you steer the global portfolio strategy for Ingredion’s largest Texture Solutions platform, aligning customer needs and market trends with financial insights to set priorities and growth paths. You’ll lead cross-functional teams across Commercial, R&D, Operations, and Finance to deliver scalable growth initiatives and executive-ready plans. You will act as a global subject-matter expert, shaping market strategies and value propositions in priority regions. The role offers high impact in a matrix, fast-paced environment with opportunities to influence strategy and execution at scale.

Responsibilities Shape growth-focused strategy by integrating market trends, customer insights, competitive intelligence, and financial analysis into actionable priorities Lead executive-level portfolio reviews, business cases, and decision materials that simplify complex topics Mobilize cross-functional teams across Commercial, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Pricing, and Product Line Management to execute growth initiatives Influence senior stakeholders in a global matrix to build alignment and drive disciplined execution Develop market insights and go-to-market strategies to strengthen portfolio positioning in priority markets Serve as global SME for key portfolios, providing value propositions, pricing guidance, and portfolio narratives to regional teams Translate customer needs and pipeline insights into portfolio opportunities and innovation pathways Build commercial capability through workshops, tools, and improved pipeline visibility Monitor portfolio performance, profitability, and mix with Pricing COE and PLMs to support value capture and margin discipline Lead portfolio planning inputs, reviews, and executive reporting Support portfolio lifecycle management, including NPD, SKU optimization, and discontinuation decisions
Key requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Food Science, or related field; MBA preferred Experience in management consulting, investment banking, or industry experience in strategy, portfolio management, or business development Food, ingredients, or specialty chemicals industry experience preferred Strong financial, strategic, and commercial acumen with ability to translate insights into actionable plans Proven ability to influence in a global, matrix organization Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of synthesizing complex topics Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point Ability to travel 10–20% regionally/globally Fluency in written and spoken English Results-oriented with ownership and urgency Highly collaborative and influential across functions and regions Strategic thinker with intellectual curiosity Microsoft Excel Power Point Salesforce (SFDC) pipeline insights
